What makes you think that there would be a kind of validity period, and having passed that time the bits and bytes will destroy theirselfes?You can store the data forever, if you spent enough money for storage and adminstration.At least in Germany you have to keep the data for 6 or 10 years for tax audits, but it is not outlined that it has to be in the same tables as the most recent data.so it is possible to archive data which is older than…..but this is to be specified by your own needs.
